Swar Sanskruti Music Academy (SSMA) is a voluntary, non-profit organisation founded in 2013 by the internationally acclaimed sitar virtuoso Pt. Ravi Chary. Born out of a vision to preserve, nurture, and spread the timeless beauty of Hindustani Classical Music, SSMA serves as a sacred space where tradition, discipline, and creativity come together in harmony.

At its core, the academy believes that Indian classical music is not just an art form — it is a sadhana, a spiritual practice that refines both the artist and the listener. Guided by this philosophy, SSMA follows the gurukul paddhati, blending ancient methods of oral transmission with modern approaches to education. Students are encouraged to live and learn with sincerity, humility, and reverence, as they imbibe not just the techniques of music, but also its values and spirit.

Swar Sanskruti Music Academy is a CSR-registered institution, holding 12A, 80G, and CSR-1 certifications, which enable partnerships with corporates and social organisations under cultural development initiatives.
